Construction Process

The most important step of your log home process is deciding which contractor is going to make your log home dreams come to a reality. At Log Homes of the South, we go the extra mile: we come to you. 

Unfortunately, many people spend years choosing their log home package supplier and the time spent choosing their contractor is a matter of weeks.

Your contractor should be experienced in log home construction and knowledgeable in all aspects of the process from design, site evaluation to working with all of the tradesmen (electric, plumbing, heating/cooling and stain work). We are licensed builders in multiple states throughout the Southeast United States. 

We, at Log Homes of the South, have constructed over 500 log homes ranging from 400 sq. ft. cabins to 30,000 sq. ft. lodges.  We don’t experiment or provide construction as a part time “job”; we are full time log home suppliers and contractors.  We are able to supply you with dry-in construction or complete turnkey service.  Some customers choose to have a “hands-on” approach to the construction of their home so we come to your site and complete the dry-in of the log home material package.  This allows the customer to act as the general contractor and finish off the interior of the home on their own or hire their own tradesmen.

With a complete turnkey we will start with the site work of clearing your property and laying out the driveway, septic field, well and helping you decide upon the best location to place your home.  We utilize experienced tradesman for electric, heating/cooling, plumbing and stain work; these contractors have worked with us for years and are experienced in log homes. We complete your log home to your specifications right up to the last door knob. We hand you the keys and your Log Homes of the South is now ready for you to move in.
